You must try this nice cozy homemade restaurant with over beer and shoju and I literally loved all the food that I had tried cannot wait to go back again
Very nice experience. Good food, not expensive. Once we tried we went 3 times. Next time we are in Japan, we will for sure visit again.
A hidden gem off the streets - totally love this diner in the town of Otsuka. Strong recommendation as the experienced chef is so friendly with us
Succulent yet delicate Japanese cuisine you would expect in an exclusive high-end Ryotei is served at this quaint local restaurant at such friendly prices. It is a hidden gem that should be kept a secret but for those who would like to experience authentic traditional creations by a humble master, it is definitely a destination worth venturing.
This is such a cute local spot to drink beers and eat dinner. The restaurant was opened by the man’s father in 1948. He plays jazz music and loves a chat. English menu available. Food is super affordable and overall good vibessss
One man show And what a talented and nice one ! Great food Jazz music
Amazing taste, amazing chef and good jazz music. I got the best food in Japan there. This chef is really good. It is a big surprise when you eat, the taste where unexpected, but soo good. This chef is an artist. Arigatou.
Quaint little izakaya manned by a single sweet gentleman. As previously mentioned, soft jazz in the background and the proprietor speaks English and tries his upmost to accommodate foreigners. English menu is available but specials of the day are posted on the wall. Use google translate to decipher the specials to get the most out of the experience. The establishment does allow smoking for the smokers out there but the ventilation is great it won't be a concern for non-smokers. One of the special items of the day was hirezake (hot sake with a roasted fugu (poisonous puffer fish) fin which was exceptional (tasted like an alcoholic hojicha) Also had the grilled prawn with uni sauce which was divine. If you're around the Otsuka area, would definitely recommend.
